With the invention of 3D printing, gone are the days of having to sit still while we manually create impressions of your or your child’s teeth. Now with the advancements in technology, our orthodontists and team use an iTero® digital scanner to capture accurate measurements and build orthodontic devices in our 3D printer.
The process involves blending multiple types of safe materials to create the appliances that give your smile a seamless appearance. These could be the mold for your new clear aligners, a retainer to wear to bed or any number of other orthodontic appliances. Having this 3D technology right at our fingertips also helps cut back on delivery time for you to receive your new set of aligners or devices quickly. We do live in a fast delivery world after all.
After you receive your new orthodontic device, our orthodontists and team will be happy to provide tips on how to clean and use your device effectively. If you have any problems you run into with your orthodontic device, please let us know.
